Recently I have been asked to do a trade with a massage therapist. I'm happy to do this but the trade part is getting a bit confusing. How do you guys handle this? Is it kind of an under the table type thing? The client told me that because he's being audited by the IRS he learned that he is not allowed to do a 100% trade and so I should pay some amount and then the rest would be trade. But how is this fair to me? And doesn't that same rule apply to me as well then? Do I invoice him? Does he invoice me? It seems very confusing. I also think I should draw up a contract before I begin doing any of it. Help, please!

I've asked everyone that I've helped out this morning and yesterday and I still can't get this tie broken. So if there is anyone here that wouldn't mind dropping by hpotter_stills and voting, I'd really really appreciate it.
